Wedding and special events are Under the Sun Designs staff’s
favorite things to create. Kelly LaCross, the head designer, has over
20 years of floral experience; first in the Thumb area and then with
a part-time wedding floral business in the Gaylord area. While in
Gaylord, Kelly also completed training and worked as an interior
designer for 10 years.
Her experience also includes being the manager of Margaret’s Garden (the flower shop at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island). In 2010, over 80 weddings and special events were created and designed by Kelly and her staff for the Grand Hotel and various other locations on the Island including the Mission Point Resort, the Iroquois Hotel and the Stonecliffe Inn. Under the Sun Designs is a full-service wedding and special events florist serving all of the Thumb area with minimal delivery fees and competitive pricing.
